The International Keyboard Institute & Festival is now preparing for its 20th ANNIVERSARY SEASON to take place July 15-29, 2018. We hope that you had a chance to enjoy attending the acclaimed concerts, lectures and masterclasses last season. In 2018, IKIF will take place at HUNTER COLLEGE in NEW YORK CITY, for our 4th year, with 14 performances in The Kaye Playhouse (68th Street between Park & Lexington) as well as classes and special events in Lang Recital Hall.

In 2018 IKIF will offer concerts and classes by some of our favorite returning guests including: Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Vladimir Feltsman, and Alon Goldstein with the Fine Arts Quartet. Hunter College’s Geoffrey Burleson will perform a solo recital. Returning performing faculty include Steven Mayer, Jeffrey Swann, Massimiliano Ferrati, Claire Huangci, and Ilya Yakushev. Making his debut appearance at IKIF will be Yekwon Sunwoo, the Gold Medal winner of the 2017 Cliburn competition. Also appearing will be our 2017 IKIF Scholarship Award First Prize winner, Dina Ivanova. In addition, IKIF will offer pre-concert lectures and interviews on stage at the Kaye. Free Events taking place on Saturday and Sunday mid-Festival include recitals by emerging young artists and a special lecture event by Allan Evans honoring the Debussy 100th anniversary year. Yuan Sheng will perform an all-Debussy concert and pianist Yuri Kim and tenor Nils Neubert will perform an all-Schumann Lieder Recital.

Last season we offered over 50 scholarships to participants of merit worldwide who seek out IKIF for an intensive two weeks of masterclasses, concerts, and lectures on the art of the piano. We are committed to keeping tuition and ticket prices low in order to serve the community. As a non-profit 501(c) 3 publicly funded charity, IKIF relies on contributions by the general public.
